2-3-2
2: We start with a lead straight rear hand (right for righties, left for lefties). Now, you might be thinking, "What about the jab? How do I know my rear hand will land?" That's where practice and experience come in. You'll start to develop a sense of distance and timing that allows you to land that 2 without needing the jab to set it up.
3: Next up is a lead hook! A common question is how to make sure your hook has enough reach to follow the straight. Focus on extending your hook fully by aligning your elbow with your wrist and letting your shoulder blade rotate. If you're still finding the distance tricky, try adding a small step after the 2 or sliding in as you throw it.
2: We finish strong with another 2! It's natural to want to put extra power into this last punch, and the momentum from the first two will help you generate that rotational force. Ideally, all three punches should have a sharp snap, but that final 2 often packs an extra punch!
