2-3-Roll-3-2-Step Pivot

  • 2-3: Throw a straight back hand and follow immediately with a front hook, rotating your hips and shoulders to generate power and ensuring your front arm comes around your opponent’s glove.
  • Roll: After the front hook, roll under an imaginary counter punch to your front side by bending your knees and lowering your level, moving your upper body in a U-shaped motion towards your front side. This defensive movement avoids a potential return shot and smoothly transitions to the next punch.
  • 3: As you complete the roll and come up, throw another front hook, leveraging the momentum and weight transfer from the roll for more force.
  • 2: Follow the second front hook with another straight back hand, capitalizing on the load created from the previous movement. This sequence keeps your opponent under pressure with nonstop offense while maintaining your defensive guard.
  • Step Pivot: At the end of the 2, step forward and pivot towards your front (left for orthodox stance). This pivot shifts your attack angle, puts you outside your opponent’s potential counters, and reloads your back hand for another straight.

The entire sequence is meant to be a continuous flow, enabling you to transition right back to the 2-3 combination, maintaining pressure and maximizing offensive opportunities. The step pivot not only protects you defensively but also reloads your power hand, allowing for repeated, dynamic attacks.
